Upgrading the GPU gave me a massive improvement, even if I am not fully unleashed. Not a recommended or common set-up, but it does show me a few things of how it works online. I've always used these machines with SL, and performance has degraded without my upgrade. I'm believing this to be true, however, I think there is something I am missing. I believe I read once that Second Life is set up that mesh is heavy on the CPU versus the GPU. My GPU seems to run at about half and my CPU runs above half to three quarters when I check my system usage. The snow is supposed to hurt some computers. I reuse textures, and use a lot of prims where I can. I try not to keep the town complicated for mesh. Yet in the heart of my own sim I drop about as much as yours. Some skybox shops that has almost no mesh, I can get way above 50fps. I just left a place that was 25fps, but I didn't even give it time to load, as I myself wasn't loading. On Second Life, some sims run smoother and faster when they did not before. I forget the benchmark rankings, but I went up thousands of places. The system overall has a massive improvement now overall. I recently upgraded my video card, whilst keeping the CPU for the moment. A form of level of detail management has been applied to texture maps for years, under the name of mipmapping, also providing higher rendering quality. OS Version: Microsoft Windows 10 64-bit (Build 19042.685) All behave the same regardless of settings.Д«elow are my system specifications. This applies to LL SL viewer, Black Dragon viewer and Firestorm viewer. No matter what settings I change I can't seem to get more than 20-25 fps max.ДЄveraging about 10-15 fps when looking at more complicated mesh.Дoesn't matter if I choose low or ultra, shadows or not, draw distance, vram buffer, cache size, connection speed, none of them make a difference.
